Scotiana’s selection of books for Christmas… — 3 Comments

  1. Hi, you wrote; ” I’m not sure they will do 😉 but Angus Stewart and Debi Gliori, the authors of these two books should go into partnership to promote the local feline hero. It seems to me that the two books are more complementary than competitive.”

Just a note. I created Tobermory Cat in 2011 using three similar ginger cats – the famous for being famous character is therefore a fictional construct. The now widely known Tobermory Cat is not real so please do not blame any cat for my story about a celebrity cat which promotes Mull! My use of cats as actors is normal practice, there are countless other animals used in creative works – humans similarly play parts in creative works. As a self publisher my intention was to create and promote my work on facebook thereby creating a market for my books and merchandise ( as well as have some fun). I thought my work was a bit quirky, authentic and a unusual – and the novelty of the work might do well – after all, how many famous celebrity cats which promote communities are there out there? Credit where credits due – normally Tobermory Cat is attributed to Ms Gliori’s so I rarely if ever get a mention. Thanks and well done.
