In May 2011 Glencoe House was sold by NHS Highland to Roger Niemeyer for about £450,000 after the South Lochaber Community Group failed to raise the funds during 2010. The house is currently being restored.

Just wanted to say I visited a friend in Glencoe yesterday (3rd July 2011)and we had a lovely walk around this beautiful Loch. I was interested to read the connection to Canada, a country I’ve fallen in love with after visiting for 3 years in a row !
What makes this place even more special is the fact that I have just discovered that Lord Strathcona comes from my Birthplace of Forres Morayshire !
Life sure is full of surprises !
